Brilliant Behaviours Checklist for Observing Groups or Classes

While a group or class is engaged in a thought-provoking learning activity, a teacher can wander among the students using this form on a clipboard to record observations of more than one student. This way there is no need to flip through multiple copies of the checklist. It’s a good idea to have either the individual checklist or the descriptors under the group form as a handy reference if a definition or description is needed for the terms at the top of the columns. Or, the individual checklist can be copied up-side-down on the back of this (group) form so they appear right-side-up when the bottom of the group observation form is lifted.

The observation should be made by an individual who is familiar with the group of students.
